What is Naxdom?

  • Naxdom 500 Tablet combines two migraine-prevention medications. It inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. It also blocks the signals in the brain that causes nausea and vomiting due to migraine.
  • Naxdom 500 tablet is used to treat inflammatory (pain and swelling) joint conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and other types of arthritis. It is also used to alleviate migraine headaches. Naxdom 500 tablet contains two medications: naproxen and domperidone. It works by preventing the effects of inflammatory substances and provides relief. If you have a heart rhythm problem or a history of ulcers caused by pain relievers, do not use a Naxdom 500 tablet. It should not be used by children under the age of five.     Interactions :

  • You may experience abnormal heart rhythm if you take Naxdom 500 tablets with medicines such as Amiodarone,(used to treat abnormal heart rhythm) Haloperidol, and Escitalopram (used to treat psychiatric illnesses), antibiotics, antifungals, and Lumefantrine. Tablets should be taken at least 1 hour before or 4 to 6 hours after Cholestyramine, which is used to treat cholesterol problems. Other medications to be used with caution include phenytoin, lithium, methotrexate, digoxin probenecid, gliclazide, and sulfamethoxazole.
  • Overdose:

  • If someone has taken an overdose of this medicine and has serious symptoms such as trouble breathing, seek medical advice immediately. Never take more doses than what is prescribed to you by your doctor.
  • Missed Dose:

  • It is necessary to take each dose of this medication on time. If you forget a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible to arrange for a new dosing schedule. Do not double the dose.
  • Storage:

  • The medicine must not come in contact with heat, air, light and may damage your medicines. Naxdom 500 mg tablets should be stored below 25°C, away from moisture, sunlight, and heat. The medicine must be kept in a safe place and far away from children’s reach.
