EVAR: Sutureless repair for abdominal aortic aneurysm.
24 March 2023 | Medicover Hospitals |The Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) was extending from the infra-renal aorta to both Common iliac arteries. Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) was planned. Generally, an EVAR is done by surgically exposing femoral arteries bilaterally to take the grafts inside the aorta for Endovascular repair. We did the EVAR completely percutaneous- avoiding any surgical exposure. No Groin Cut, No surgical femoral artery exposure # SIMPLY Percutaneous. The patient Got discharged in 48 Hrs. It’s actually technically challenging to create 2 X two sets of pre-close sutures / Bilateral femoral for 20F (6mm) holes on Common femoral arteries. The procedure was done with suture closure of Bilateral 6 mm holes over the femoral without exposing the femoral - that’s the beauty.
