Our Successful Treatment Story

Upon her transfer to our hospital on 24th October 2025, Mrs. Jyoti was in a critical condition, having a history of preeclampsia, preceded by placental abruption and intrauterine fetal demise (36 weeks).

After a comprehensive evaluation, she was diagnosed with postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), acute kidney injury (AKI), sepsis, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) and suspected thrombotic microangiopathy.

How Did Our Experts Manage the Case Quickly?

Our multidisciplinary team immediately initiated advanced critical care management. The treatment was led by Dr. Rizwan Abdul Hakim Malik (Physician and Diabetologist) upon Mrs. Jyoti's arrival.

Our doctors inserted a central line and dialysis catheter and started hemodialysis. The patient also underwent four sessions of plasma exchange (plasmapheresis) between 24th October and 29th October 2025.

Mrs Gaikwad was continuously monitored in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she received advanced life support, multiple blood transfusions, antibiotic therapy, and constant clinical supervision. Gradually, her condition stabilized with coordinated care from the critical care, nephrology, and gynecology teams. Once her vitals normalized, she was shifted to the general ward for continued recovery.

Recovery and Follow-up

On 31st October 2025, she was readmitted for short-term observation and supportive treatment. Following continued progress, she was discharged on 2nd November 2025 in stable condition with advice for home care, diet, and outpatient follow-up on 7th November 2025.

She recovered fully, regained strength, and resumed her normal routine soon after discharge.

Our Doctors' Perspective

Dr Rizwan Abdul Hakim Malik, who led the case, said:
