  • Bromocriptine is a prescription drug that comes in the form of tablets and capsules which can be taken orally. It is available in the brand-name called Parlodel and Cycloset. Bromocriptine can also be taken with the combination of other medicines. The Parlodel brand of bromocriptine is used to treat certain conditions caused by a hormonal imbalance in which there is too much prolactin in the blood (hyperprolactinemia). Symptoms include lack of sexual development among adolescents. Women may have missed menstrual periods, loss of interest in sex, hot flashes, infertility, or unexpected breast milk production and nipple leakage.

    Bromocriptine Uses:

  • Bromocriptine is being used to treat the symptoms of hyperprolactinemia including lack of menstrual periods, nipple discharge, infertility and hypogonadism.
