What is Bromocriptine?
Bromocriptine is a prescription drug that comes in the form of tablets and capsules which can be taken orally. It is available in the brand-name called Parlodel and Cycloset. Bromocriptine can also be taken with the combination of other medicines. The Parlodel brand of bromocriptine is used to treat certain conditions caused by a hormonal imbalance in which there is too much prolactin in the blood (hyperprolactinemia). Women may have missed menstrual periods, loss of interest in sex, hot flashes, infertility, or unexpected breast milk production and nipple leakage.
Bromocriptine Uses
Bromocriptine is being used to treat the symptoms of hyperprolactinemia including lack of menstrual periods, nipple discharge, infertility and hypogonadism. Bromocriptine can also be used to treat hyperprolactinemia caused by a type of tumours that produce prolactin and may reduce these tumors. Bromocriptine is also used on its own or with other treatments to treat acromegaly and Parkinson's disease. Bromocriptine can be used with a diet and exercise program and often with other medicines to control blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.

Missed dose

Storage
