Dr Rachita Bahety

Dr. Rachita Bahety earned her MDS in Maxillofacial Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and completed a Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery (FHNO), ranking among the top 10 in the country. She gained further experience during her senior residency at the Karnataka Cancer Therapy and Research Institute (KCTRI). She is the first female cancer surgeon in the Marathwada region to specialize in a specific organ.

As a top oncologist, Dr. Bahety provides expert care across a wide spectrum of conditions. Her surgical expertise includes oral cancer surgeries, treatment of neck tumours (both benign and malignant), and advanced reconstructive surgery to restore form and function. She manages pre-malignant diseases and offers both surgical and non-surgical treatments for oral submucous fibrosis.

Her holistic approach extends to functional rehabilitation, tobacco and alcohol de-addiction programs, and the management of secondary corrective treatments, second malignancies, and facial skin cancers. She also performs minor oral surgery procedures.

Dr. Bahety has held many important roles, including Director at iBOCC Cancer Care Centre and Consultant Head and Neck Surgeon at several hospitals, including Medicover, MIT, ASIAN, and MGM. She was also the Lead Consultant at HCG Hospitals, Hubli, and an Assistant Professor in Surgical Oncology at Government Cancer Hospital, Ch. Sambhajinagar.

She led the Mucormycosis in COVID program in 2021 and organized state and national conventions. She is a life member of several professional groups, has taught at national conferences, and represents the C Care Foundation. She has also published her research in medical journals.
