What is a Kidney Stone

A kidney stone is a hard mass formed from minerals and salts that build up inside the kidneys. These stones develop when the urine becomes concentrated, allowing minerals to crystallize and stick together. Small stones may pass on their own, but larger stones can block the flow of urine and cause severe pain and other complications.
