At the time of delivery, the baby had a cord looped around the neck, and the heart rate began dropping, which required immediate medical intervention.

To ensure the safety of both mother and child, the medical team performed an emergency Cesarean Section (C-Section). The baby was born preterm at 31 weeks with very low birth weight, and was then cared for in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) by the specialist neonatology team.
