About the Patient

What is a Major Accident?

A major accident refers to severe traumatic injuries resulting from events like road traffic accidents or serious falls. These incidents can cause significant damage to multiple body systems, including severe musculoskeletal trauma, internal injuries, and loss of limb function. In cases of massive, irreparable damage to a limb, such as the lower leg, where blood supply is severely compromised, or infection risk is overwhelming, a procedure like amputation may become necessary to save the patient's life and prevent further complications.

What Treatment did we provide to Badshah at Medicover?

Upon arrival, Badshah required immediate surgery to address the severe injury that had resulted from a major accident to his condition. Our orthopedics specialist, Dr Sandeep Borle, determined that amputation of the leg was the most responsible and appropriate course of action to ensure Badshah's survival and to prevent systemic infection given the extent of the injury.
