Dr Akhila Lalam specializes in maternal and fetal medicine, focusing on the health of both the mother and the unborn baby, especially in high-risk and complex pregnancies. She follows a compassionate, patient-centric approach, ensuring that expectant mothers clearly understand their condition, test results and care plans, helping them feel reassured and confident during pregnancy.

Dr Akhila has worked as a Senior Registrar at Apollo Adlux Hospital, Kochi gaining valuable exposure to advanced obstetric and fetal care practices. Her experience includes managing routine pregnancies as well as complex maternal and fetal conditions.

Her areas of expertise include NT scans, anomaly scans, growth and Doppler studies, fetal echocardiography, 3D/4D scans, neurosonograms and multiple pregnancy evaluations. She is also trained in invasive fetal procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villous sampling, fetal blood sampling, selective fetal reduction and advanced fetal therapies, including intrauterine blood transfusions and radiofrequency ablation.
